The ReviewBoard was established to support Australian art, practitioners, and arts writers, and to encourage public engagement with our vibrant arts communities. We had ambitions to create a place for critical writing open to writers everywhere, in regional, remote, or metropolitan Australia; or internationally, visiting exhibitions presented overseas by Australian visual artists.  There was an obvious appetite for this, and we found a base of wonderful supporters and readers for which we are truly grateful and humbled. Unfortunately, like many arts organisations, we experienced hurdle after hurdle due to Covid, funding pressures, and a world that seemed to have turned upside down overnight.

Our exciting news is that we have been fortunate in securing a new home with a respected, long-standing arts publication with shared values and vision, an amalgamation which brings together a dynamic new vision with a well-established arts magazine that produces outstanding arts content.

As these redirections require planning and time, the roll-out and public announcements are yet to come. We are very excited to share this milestone and look forward to nurturing this platform for real-time critical arts writing.
